Being healthy both mentally and physically are two extremely important goals that should be at the very top of your "to do" list. While you cannot control every single aspect of your mental and physical health and fitness, it is important to focus on what you can control and set goals that will help you achieve success. 


Learning how to focus and prepare your mind and your body at the beginning of each day is a good habit that is well worth your time and effort. Without good health, many of your other goals such as wealth and success will soon begin to fade and lose their appeal.


Mental Health and Spirituality


You can have all of the money and power in the world, but if your health is failing and you are unable to enjoy it then your wealth and power become meaningless. Get in touch with your spiritual side through daily readings, prayer or meditation, this will keep you grounded and focused. These activities will give you the strength, motivation and peace of mind to keep going when times become rough or stressful.

We hear it time and time again ... diet and exercise ... diet and exercise.


If so many people are saying that these are the keys to good health, then there must be something to this theory so you owe it to yourself to at least try it out if you have not already done so. Let's face it, if all you had to do to lose weight was to take a pill then there would be millions of skinny people running around!


When you take a look at the cold hard facts, there is no magic cure that will help you lose weight and keep it off. To do this requires a lifestyle change, which means you must develop new habits.


Set yourself up for success by setting small attainable goals and building upon them as your confidence increases. It is far better to walk for twenty minutes, three times a week and keep it up than it is to try to walk for an hour every day and burn out and quit after a couple of weeks.


What gets measured gets improved so it is important that you track your data in order to see your progress.


You can right your goals down or you can use a fitness tracking device like the fit bit flex which is what I use to monitor your progress. www.fitbit.com Do not get hung up or become pre-occupied with the numbers or the values. They are simply there to provide a point of reference.


Your goal at this stage of the game is simply to establish the habit of counting calories, working out and eating properly. Consistency is the key. It is better to do a little three or four times a week than to do a lot once a week and give up on your goal.
